node-static software package provides RFC2616 compliant HTTP static-file server module with caching, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install node-static
node-static is installed in your system.
Make ensure the node-static package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep node-static *
You will get with node-static package name, version, architecture and description in a table
